Mission of Burma

In this election season, when we’re hearing a lot of spittle-flecked rhetoric about how the government is controlling our lives and should be drowned in the bathtub, we thought it might be interesting to take a look at what an ACTUAL dictatorship looks like. Our friend Dan (who asked that we not use his last name) teaches journalism in Burma, aka the Republic of the Union of Myanmar – where the government decides what you can read and write. He talks about how his students cope with oppression – from the government to the weather.
